The Hemper Bowlman Lantern Bong is a camping lantern rendered in borosilicate glass — the glass housing forming the chamber, with a carry handle detail across the top. It came from Hemper's September 2023 Camp Out theme and is one of the more restrained pieces in the range: recognisably an object rather than obviously a novelty.
How it performs
The lantern body gives it a broad, weighted base and a low centre of gravity, so it sits steadier than most shaped glass. The chamber holds a good volume and it takes a standard bowl and downstem. Of everything in the Hemper range this is among the easiest to leave out on display without it announcing what it is.
The XL scales up considerably and reads much more as a centrepiece.

Looking after it
The enclosed lantern form means a couple of areas gravity won't drain, so allow extra rinsing and dry it fully upside down. Our cleaning guide covers the routine.
