Hemper Chinese Takeout Bong

The Hemper Chinese Takeout Bong reproduces the folded paper carton — creased panels, wire handle and printed detailing — in borosilicate glass. It was Hemper's November 2022 theme and is probably the single most imitated shape in novelty glass. This is the original.

How it performs

The carton's flat base makes it one of the more stable pieces in the range, and the folded panel detail is worked into the glass rather than printed on, so it survives handling. Standard bowl and downstem, ordinary water level, draws like a beaker.

The XL is considerably larger and is the version most people buy as a display piece.
