Strawberry Cough: A Kyle Kushman Favourite
Strawberry Cough was popularised by Kyle Kushman, arguably one of the world's most beloved cannabis growers. Created in Connecticut by an unnamed grower, Kushman received his first cut of "The Cough" as a gift for helping said grower improve his garden. When he inspected the tiny clone back in his home in Brooklyn, Kyle was immediately stunned by the big berry aroma that emanated from it. On his move from New York to California in 2004, Kyle kept a tray of Strawberry Cough clones in the boot of his rented Buick and handed them out to growers in every state he crossed. The rest is history.
Strawberry Cough Cannabis Seeds: Strawberry Fields and Haze, Forever
Strawberry Cough descends from the almighty Haze and the lesser-known (but no less impressive) Strawberry Fields. Bred in upstate New York, Strawberry Fields was grown in and amongst strawberry plantations to mask its dank aroma. Cannabis folklore has it that, somehow, the plants started assimilating the aroma of their companion plants. While we cannot confirm or deny these claims, we agree with Kyle Kushman: "It’s sure not the weirdest idea [we've] ever heard!". Combining Strawberry Fields' indica genetics and the sativa-leaning properties of Haze, our Strawberry Cough boasts bold aromas, 75% sativa genetics, and an uplifting buzz to match.
Effects and Aromas of Strawberry Cough Cannabis
By the time you've harvested, dried, and cured your Strawberry Cough buds, they'll have developed a delicious aroma combining notes of fresh strawberries, jam, and relish with the earthy undertones of an old-school Haze. Packing high concentrations of myrcene, pinene, and caryophyllene as well as 20% THC, Strawberry Cough by Royal Queen Seeds induces an almost immediate sativa headrush—just like that you'd get from inhaling a classic like Neville's Haze. Within minutes, you should feel clear-headed, focused, and social, ideal for daytime use, creative activities, or weekend sessions with your friends.
